Never again will I give my phone number to a political campaign. Truth be told, it’s too late. I’ve had the same phone number for 20 years and I don’t intend to change it. However, all the political text messages make it tempting.
Political text messages have always been annoying but this year, it’s worse than ever. I must get one every 6 hours or so. Such behavior is typical of people in marketing careers. Finding new ways to annoy people is their purpose in life. Push, push, push. More, more, more, it’s never enough.
There always comes a time when the people have had enough. Remember telemarketers? Politicians always exempt themselves from such laws passed against human-caused pestilence like SPAM and telemarketing, but as a citizen, I’ve had enough and I plan to write my political representatives, begging them to outlaw this practice. Join me and let’s annoy the fuck out of them for a change.
